Job Overview
This role requires a dynamic professional to design and implement supply chain optimization strategies for our growing operations in Northern Uganda. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics and process improvement methodologies to enhance our logistics performance while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Director and plays a pivotal role in our expansion strategy across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain optimization strategies to improve operational efficiency
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance improvements
- Implement inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
- Develop KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supply chain effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain bottlenecks
li>Coordinate with procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams to streamline operations
Required Skills
- Proven experience with supply chain optimization software (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in African logistics environments is a distinct advantage
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Master’s Degree or professional certification (CSCP, CPIM) preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain optimization roles
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvement initiatives
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
