Job Overview
British Council Uganda seeks a passionate Digital Education Program Manager to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital education initiatives in Mbarara. This role will focus on integrating technology into educational frameworks to enhance learning outcomes and teacher capacity in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage digital education programs aligned with national curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with schools, NGOs, and technology partners to implement digital learning tools.
- Design training modules for teachers on digital pedagogy and resource utilization.
- Monitor program impact through data collection and reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities for digital education projects.
- Ensure compliance with British Council and donor reporting requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in digital education program management.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on technology integration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., LMS platforms, video conferencing software).
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English and local languages is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Digital Media, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Education Technology or Public Administration preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in digital education or program management.
- Experience working in educational or NGO environments in Uganda.
Salary
2,000,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
