Company Overview:WorldFish Center is a global research organization that works to reduce poverty and hunger by improving fisheries and aquaculture. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Kasese, Uganda.
Job Overview:Our organization is committed to improving the lives of people in developing countries by providing them with access to nutritious and sustainable seafood. We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices in our projects, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices in our projects
- Work closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable aquaculture practices
- Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in sustainable aquaculture
- Develop and implement training programs for local communities and stakeholders on sustainable aquaculture practices
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of our sustainable aquaculture projects
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable aquaculture or related field
- Strong knowledge of sustainable aquaculture practices and principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders
