Job Overview
The Commercial Real Estate Analyst will play a critical role in our advisory division, providing the quantitative and qualitative research necessary to drive investment strategies. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, evaluating property yields, and conducting feasibility studies for large-scale commercial developments. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging commercial real estate trends in the Jinja region.
- Perform detailed financial modeling, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analysis.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and feasibility studies for prospective commercial clients.
- Monitor competitor activity and local zoning regulations to assess investment risks.
- Assist in the valuation of commercial assets including office spaces, retail hubs, and industrial warehouses.
- Collaborate with the property management team to analyze occupancy rates and rental growth trends.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong understanding of real estate valuation methodologies and market dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing reporting.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory frameworks regarding land use.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Education
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline from a recognized institution. Professional certification such as ACCA or specialized real estate credentials is highly advantageous.
Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in commercial real estate analysis, investment banking, or property consultancy is required. Proven experience in the Ugandan or East African market is preferred. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a track-record of delivering high-quality financial reports and market intelligence.
Salary
The monthly gross salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,500,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and technical expertise. This competitive package reflects the high level of responsibility and specialized knowledge required for the role.
