We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Water Resources Manager to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our water resources management initiatives in the region, working closely with local stakeholders, governments, and other water professionals.

Job Overview

The Sustainable Water Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable water resources management strategies in the region. This will involve working with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify and address water-related challenges, such as water scarcity, pollution, and inadequate water infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in water resources management, with experience in developing and implementing sustainable water management plans. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable water resources management strategies in the region.
  • Work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify and address water-related challenges.
  • Develop and implement water management plans, including water conservation and efficiency measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of water management plans and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other water professionals to share knowledge and best practices in water management.
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in water resources management, with a strong background in sustainable water management.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address water-related challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Education

    The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or a related field. They will also have a strong background in sustainable water management, with experience in developing and implementing sustainable water management plans.

    Experience

    The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in water resources management, with a strong background in sustainable water management. They will have experience in developing and implementing sustainable water management plans, as well as working with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify and address water-related challenges.

    Salary

    The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of SSP 1,200,000 – SSP 1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
