Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable water resources management systems, including water supply and treatment, wastewater management, and water reuse and recycling.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources management. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The position is based in Mbale, Uganda, and the successful candidate will be required to travel frequently to project sites throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sustainable water resources management systems, including water supply and treatment, wastewater management, and water reuse and recycling.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assessments to identify opportunities for water conservation and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement water management plans and policies to ensure effective and sustainable use of water resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and local communities, to promote water conservation and efficiency.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and stakeholders on water management and conservation practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in civil engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources management.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites throughout the country.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience

8-12 years of experience in water resources management.

Salary

5,000,000 – 7,000,000 SSP per annum.
