This new property will serve as a hub for international delegations, oil industry executives, and leisure travelers exploring the Albertine Rift region.
Job Overview
The Hospitality Operations Manager will lead all operational aspects of the upcoming Hoima resort, ensuring seamless guest experiences, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to Serena’s high standards of service. This role reports directly to the Regional General Manager and collaborates closely with department heads, vendors, and local stakeholders.
Key performance indicators include guest satisfaction scores, occupancy rates, cost control, and staff engagement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the resort’s operational culture and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across all departments, including front office, food & beverage, housekeeping, and engineering.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with Serena’s brand standards.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of a diverse team of 120+ staff members.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
- Drive guest satisfaction through proactive service recovery and personalized experiences.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to maximize occupancy and revenue during peak and off‑peak periods.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CHRM or HACCP are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior operations role within a luxury hotel or resort environment, preferably with exposure to multi‑property management.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 3,000,000 to SSP 5,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total rewards.
