Job Overview

The Quantum Computing Engineer will join the Quantum Research and Development department to design, implement, and optimize quantum circuits and algorithms that address real‑world challenges for IBM’s enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications.
• Develop and maintain quantum software libraries compatible with IBM Quantum Experience and Qiskit.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to test and validate quantum circuits on superconducting qubit platforms.
• Perform rigorous performance analysis, including error rates, coherence times, and gate fidelity assessments.
• Document research findings and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications and internal knowledge bases.

Required Skills
