Job Overview

The Energy Management Solutions Consultant will act as a trusted advisor to clients across the commercial, industrial, and public sectors, helping them design, implement, and optimize energy‑saving technologies. The role involves conducting detailed energy audits, developing customized solution proposals, and overseeing project delivery from concept to commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive energy assessments for industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and municipal infrastructure.
• Develop tailored energy management strategies that incorporate Schneider Electric’s hardware, software, and services.
• Prepare detailed technical and financial proposals, including ROI calculations and sustainability impact analyses.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams to ensure successful implementation, testing, and handover of solutions.
• Provide on‑site training and support to client personnel, ensuring effective operation and maintenance of installed systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, government regulators, and industry associations.
• Stay updated on emerging energy technologies, regulatory changes, and market trends to advise clients on best practices.
• Contribute to business development activities by identifying new opportunities and participating in bid processes.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of energy management principles, smart grid technologies, and renewable integration.
• Proficiency in energy modeling tools and data analytics platforms.
• Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages such as Lugbara or Swahili is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in energy consulting, industrial automation, or related fields. Experience working with large‑scale energy projects in Uganda or the broader East African region will be viewed favorably. Salary
