1. I am writing to express my interest in the position of  Security Officer/Guard. Having built my career in operational coordination, security, risk management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder engagement within highly regulated and fragile environments, I am excited by the opportunity to contribute to commitment to ensuring the safety and security of staff, assets, and humanitarian and development operations.

Over the past years, I have gained substantial experience managing complex operations that required continuous risk assessment, incident monitoring, compliance enforcement, emergency preparedness, and coordination with government authorities. These responsibilities have enabled me to develop strong analytical, decision-making, and crisis management skills that are essential for effective security leadership in dynamic operational environments.

In my role as Security Head & Support Officer at Church World Service and Security Operations Coordinator at Auto Terminal Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi-UAE I coordinated activities involving customs, immigration, imports, exports, inspections, and operational supervision. The position demanded constant situational awareness, identification of operational risks, implementation of mitigation measures, incident reporting, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to maintain safe and uninterrupted operations. I routinely worked alongside government agencies and security-related authorities, ensuring compliance with procedures while safeguarding personnel, assets, and operational continuity.

Also my previous experience as a Security Supervisor at SECURIGUARD MIDDLE EAST LLC Abu Dhabi, UAE further strengthened my capacity to collect, analyze, and interpret information from field environments, conduct site assessments, and support operational planning through evidence-based reporting. These skills have enhanced my ability to assess changing contexts, identify emerging threats, and support informed decision-making competencies that are central to security management within humanitarian operations.

I am particularly drawn to integrated approach to security management, which emphasizes risk analysis, security planning, incident reporting, staff awareness, contingency preparedness, and operational support. I understand the critical importance of maintaining robust security systems that enable humanitarian and development teams to safely access communities while minimizing risks to personnel and organizational assets.

My professional experience has equipped me with skills relevant to this role, including security risk assessment, trainings/drills, incident management, emergency response coordination, access management, stakeholder liaison, security compliance monitoring, information gathering and analysis, contingency planning, and team supervision. I am confident in my ability to contribute to the development and implementation of security strategies, support field teams operating in diverse environments, strengthen security reporting mechanisms, and promote a culture of safety and accountability across operations.

I am excited by the opportunity to join and contribute to the safety and effectiveness of the programs throughout Uganda. I believe my operational background, risk management expertise, and commitment to staff safety would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to your team.
