I studied for a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance at Ndejje University, a three year degree covering financial and management accounting, taxation, auditing and assurance, financial regulation and computerised accounting, supported by business statistics and analytics. I completed a supervised industrial internship and a final research report, both graded A, and I am graduating in October 2026 with a Second Class (Upper Division) award and a CGPA of 3.83.
Work & Experience
I interned in the Finance Department, Accounts Section, at Kinyara Sugar Limited in Masindi, supporting the accounts team with the recording, checking and filing of daily financial documents, preparing supporting schedules, and sorting supplier and payment records. I was recommended in writing by the Management Accountant, who noted my ability to grasp new concepts easily and to express ideas clearly in speech and in writing.
I completed an industrial attachment in the Finance Department at Uganda Baati Limited, part of the Safal Group, working in SAP ERP across the FI and MM modules to park, post, review and query invoices, credit memos, petty cash entries and down payments. I supported the procure to pay cycle through three way matching of purchase orders, goods received notes and tax invoices, and the order to cash cycle through booking and reconciling customer transactions and following up the receivables aging. I also assisted with tax compliance covering VAT reconciliations, PAYE filing, withholding tax submissions and EFRIS document generation, supported cash office operations under segregation of duties controls, and took part in monthly stock takes. I was awarded the top rating of Very Good in all ten assessed areas.
