Job Overview
MTN Uganda is seeking a proactive Territory Sales Executive to drive sales and increase the adoption of MTN’s mobile, data, and digital financial services in Mukono and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will focus on expanding the customer base, building strong distributor and retailer relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies that contribute to revenue growth.
The Territory Sales Executive will collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to optimize product visibility, ensure excellent customer experience, and deliver on sales targets. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a strong understanding of telecom or FMCG sales.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement territory sales strategies to achieve revenue and customer acquisition targets
Manage relationships with distributors, retail outlets, and corporate clients
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
Drive sales promotions, product campaigns, and brand activations
Monitor sales pipeline, KPIs, and territory performance metrics
Train and support retail staff to improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market insights
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance customer engagement and service delivery
Track inventory and merchandising compliance in the territory
Identify high-potential leads and develop conversion strategies
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong sales negotiation and closing skills
Experience in telecommunications or FMCG sales
Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting software
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
