About the Role
The SME Logbook Champion will play a key role in expanding the institution’s lending portfolio by identifying and engaging potential clients who own motor vehicles and require financing solutions. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and market SME logbook financing products to prospective clients.
- Drive business development initiatives within assigned territories.
- Identify new customer segments and business opportunities.
- Generate qualified leads through networking and field activities.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives.
- Develop effective sales strategies to maximize customer acquisition.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationship management practices.
- Educate clients on loan products, repayment structures, and borrowing requirements.
- Provide professional guidance on logbook financing solutions.
- Address customer concerns and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Maintain long-term client relationships to improve customer retention.
Credit Assessment & Loan Processing
- Conduct preliminary credit analysis and customer assessments.
- Evaluate client eligibility in accordance with company lending policies.
- Support the loan approval and documentation process.
- Monitor customer repayment performance and loan utilization.
- Ensure compliance with institutional credit guidelines.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor and manage assigned loan portfolios.
- Track customer performance and repayment behavior.
- Support portfolio management activities aimed at reducing credit risk.
- Implement retention strategies to strengthen customer loyalty.
- Assist in recovering delinquent accounts where necessary.
Team Leadership & Reporting
- Recruit, mentor, and supervise field sales agents.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance support.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Submit sales and portfolio updates to management.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Business Studies, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in sales, banking, lending, or customer service will be an advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, credit management, financial services, or insurance.
- Previous experience in payroll lending, SME lending, or microfinance is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and portfolio growth targets.
