Internship Purpose

The Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management Intern will support programme implementation, performance tracking, reporting, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the UNFPA Country Programme.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Support

The intern will assist UNFPA teams by:

  • Supporting staff and implementing partners in preparing and updating Annual Work Plans (AWPs) aligned with programme objectives and donor agreements.
  • Assisting in programme tracking, results monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Compiling, organizing, and analysing programme information, including tables, summaries, and statistical data.
  • Supporting updates to programme dashboards and donor-funded project reporting systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of:
    • Quarterly programme reports
    • Annual reports
    • Donor implementation reports
    • UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) reports
  • Contributing to monitoring and evaluation processes using Results-Based Management principles.
  • Supporting organization of field monitoring visits, technical missions, and programme assessments.

The intern will also provide operational support by:

  • Tracking action points from programme meetings and field missions.
  • Coordinating logistics for workshops, meetings, and technical events.
  • Supporting documentation and reporting for programme activities.
  • Assisting programme teams with administrative coordination.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
