Job Overview

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing energy storage solutions for renewable energy projects in northern Uganda. The position offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge battery storage systems, grid integration projects, and off-grid solar solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize energy storage systems for solar and wind projects
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies for battery storage integration
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop energy storage solutions for rural electrification
  • Monitor system performance and implement efficiency improvements
  • Prepare technical documentation and project reports

Required Skills

  • Expertise in lithium-ion and flow battery technologies
  • Proficiency in energy storage system simulation software
  • Strong understanding of grid-connected and off-grid energy systems
  • Experience with SCADA systems for energy monitoring
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for system troubleshooting

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Systems
  • Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years in energy storage system design and implementation
  • Experience with Ugandan energy infrastructure projects
  • Project management experience in renewable energy sectors

Salary

3,500,000 – 5,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
