Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Accessibility Specialist to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our digital products and services are accessible to people with disabilities. This includes conducting accessibility audits, providing training and guidance to our teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement accessibility solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility audits of digital products and services to identify areas for improvement
- Provide training and guidance to our teams on accessibility best practices and standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement accessibility solutions and ensure compliance with accessibility regulations
- Develop and maintain accessibility policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with emerging accessibility trends and technologies
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and regulations, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
- Experience with accessibility testing tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in digital accessibility, preferably in a consulting or industry setting
Salary
500,000 – 700,000 SSP per annum
