Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Hoima, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including oil and gas, mining, and infrastructure development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, with experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing environmental management plans.
The position will involve working closely with our clients to understand their project requirements and developing environmental impact assessments that meet their needs.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that all environmental impact assessments are conducted in accordance with Ugandan and international environmental regulations.
The position will also involve working closely with our team of environmental scientists and engineers to develop environmental management plans and ensure that all projects are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including oil and gas, mining, and infrastructure development
- Develop environmental management plans for various projects
- Ensure that all environmental impact assessments are conducted in accordance with Ugandan and international environmental regulations
- Work closely with our team of environmental scientists and engineers to develop environmental management plans and ensure that all projects are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner
- Provide technical support to our clients on environmental impact assessments and environmental management plans
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, with experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing environmental management plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessments and environmental management plans

Working Environment
Our office is located in Hoima, Uganda, and the successful candidate will be required to work from our office in Hoima.
The successful candidate will also be required to travel to project sites to conduct environmental impact assessments and develop environmental management plans.
