Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Trials Manager to lead our growing portfolio of clinical research projects in Kampala. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of clinical trials, ensuring milestones and recruitment targets are met.
• Supervise clinical trial staff, including study nurses, coordinators, and data entrants, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of protocols, consent forms, and regulatory documents to institutional review boards and national regulatory authorities.
• Oversee investigational product accountability, ensuring proper storage, handling, and documentation.
• Collaborate with data management teams to resolve queries and ensure timely lock of clinical databases.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits and internal audits to maintain the highest quality of study implementation.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, local regulatory frameworks, and ethical standards in clinical research.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with a proven track record of managing multi-center trials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in clinical trial management software (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines.

Education

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Clinical Research, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience

A minimum of five years of direct experience in clinical trials management is required, preferably within an academic or NGO research setting in Africa.
