Job Overview
The Manufacturing Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand
- Monitor and control production processes to ensure quality and efficiency
- Manage plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production methods and reduce costs
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in manufacturing management are preferred.
Experience
5+ years of experience in manufacturing plant management, preferably in a leadership role. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable.
