Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Policy Analyst to join our team in Gulu, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and developing policies that promote sustainable development and conservation in Uganda.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental policy, law, or a related field, and experience working in a similar role in Uganda or elsewhere in Africa. They will be able to analyze complex policy issues, develop effective solutions, and communicate their findings to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop policies that promote sustainable development and conservation in Uganda
- Work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to address the root causes of environmental degradation
- Develop and implement effective solutions to environmental problems
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with other WWF teams to develop and implement conservation projects
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental policy, law, or a related field
- Experience working in a similar role in Uganda or elsewhere in Africa
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

Salary
