We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Mbale. The successful candidate will work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement sustainable development projects that promote environmental conservation and community development.

Job Overview

Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Consultant

Location: Mbale, Uganda

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: UGX 2,500,000 – 3,500,000 per month

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable development projects that promote environmental conservation and community development. This will involve working closely with our conservation team to identify opportunities for sustainable development, developing project proposals, and securing funding to support project implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, or a related field, and will have experience working in a similar role. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable development projects that promote environmental conservation and community development.
  • Work closely with our conservation team to identify opportunities for sustainable development and develop project proposals.
  • Secure funding to support project implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation, or a related field.
