Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Kabale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Uganda. This role will involve working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable forest management and conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Uganda
- Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable forest management and conservation
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forestry management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
- Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and government agencies on digital forestry management practices
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in forestry management, conservation, or related field
- Proven experience in developing and implementing digital solutions in forestry management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
