Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our technical team in Arua. This role is critical to our operations, as you will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and maintaining the physical infrastructure required for our logistics hubs and transport networks. You will ensure that all construction projects meet international safety standards and local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and supervise the construction of logistics warehouses, loading docks, and heavy-duty access roads.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety protocols.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with local government authorities to secure necessary building permits and environmental clearances.
- Perform structural integrity assessments on existing logistics facilities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
- Deep understanding of civil engineering principles and construction management.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret complex technical blueprints and topographical maps.
Education
A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution is mandatory. Professional certification from the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering, specifically within the construction or industrial logistics sector. Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects in East Africa is a significant advantage.
Salary
