Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Moyo, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects that protect and restore critical ecosystems in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, with experience in project management, community engagement, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement conservation projects that protect and restore critical ecosystems in the region.
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to advance conservation goals.
  • Conduct field assessments and monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of conservation projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets, reports, and other documentation related to conservation projects.
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation, project management, and community engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Education

    The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is an added advantage.

    Experience

    The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation, project management, and community engagement. Experience working in Africa, particularly in Uganda, is highly desirable.

    Salary

    The salary for this position is 4,500,000 – 6,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
