Job Overview

The Infrastructure Asset Management Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting EY Uganda’s infrastructure clients, including government agencies, private developers, and international financiers. The analyst will be responsible for evaluating the performance, risk, and lifecycle costs of infrastructure assets such as roads, bridges, water treatment facilities, and public buildings. By leveraging advanced data analytics, financial modeling, and industry best practices, the analyst will help clients optimize asset utilization, extend service life, and align investments with national development goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive asset condition assessments using field surveys, remote sensing data, and asset registers.
  • Develop and maintain asset management plans that incorporate preventive maintenance schedules, renewal strategies, and cost‑benefit analyses.
  • Perform financial modeling to estimate lifecycle costs, depreciation, and return on investment for infrastructure projects.
  • Assist clients in complying with Ugandan regulatory standards and international best practices such as ISO 55000.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, highlighting risk exposure, performance metrics, and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure integrated solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, market research, and thought leadership pieces on asset management trends in Uganda.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of asset management frameworks, lifecycle costing, and infrastructure finance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with Ugandan infrastructure regulations and public‑private partnership (PPP) models is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management, or a closely related field is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or a Master’s degree in Infrastructure Finance are highly desirable and will be considered a strong differentiator.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in infrastructure asset management, consulting, or a related engineering discipline. Experience working with government agencies, international development organizations, or large‑scale private developers in Uganda or the broader East African region will be valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 3,000,000 to SSP 5,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme aligned with Ugandan labor regulations.
