Job Overview

The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in collecting, analysing and presenting ESG data for Nestlé Uganda. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the analyst will prepare internal and external sustainability reports, support the development of the annual ESG strategy, and ensure compliance with local regulations and international frameworks such as GRI, SASB and CDP. This position offers a unique chance to influence corporate sustainability performance while working in a dynamic, multicultural environment. Candidates will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and Communications to gather accurate data and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate and analyse ESG data from various business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual sustainability reports in line with GRI, SASB and CDP requirements.
  • Support the Sustainability Manager in developing ESG targets, metrics and performance dashboards.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to assess supplier sustainability performance and integrate findings into reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance to align ESG metrics with financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of disclosures for regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability regulations and best practices in Uganda and the East African region.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data trends and benchmark analysis.
  • Facilitate internal training sessions on ESG data collection and reporting procedures.
  • Maintain a centralized ESG data repository and ensure data security and confidentiality.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, UNGC) and sustainability metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities to manage multiple reporting cycles.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with local environmental regulations and corporate governance standards in Uganda.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as GRI Certified Training Programme, SASB Fundamentals, or CDP Climate Change Programme is considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data management, corporate responsibility or a related discipline. Experience within the food and beverage sector or a multinational corporation is highly desirable.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
