Job Overview

The CNC Machinist will operate, program, and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high‑precision components for Mitsubishi Electric’s automation equipment. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up tooling, monitoring production runs, and ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to optimize machining processes and meet delivery targets. Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CNC program files.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC milling, turning, and drilling machines.
• Program CNC machines using G‑code and M‑code, making adjustments for optimal tool paths.
• Monitor machine performance, conduct in‑process inspections, and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues, and coordinate with the maintenance department for major repairs.
• Maintain detailed production logs, tool inventories, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to suggest design improvements that enhance manufacturability.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe workplace.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CNC programming (M‑code, G‑code) and operation of multi‑axis machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting speeds, feeds, and tool selection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Problem‑solving mindset with experience in diagnosing and correcting machine errors.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork across engineering and production.
• Basic knowledge of CNC software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, or Fanuc.

Education

A Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field is required. Additional certifications in CNC programming or machining (e.g., CNC Machinist Certification) are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of three years of hands‑on experience operating CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. Experience with high‑volume production, tool management, and continuous improvement initiatives will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skill level, and performance. The package includes statutory benefits and performance‑based incentives aligned with company goals.
