Job Overview
The Agricultural Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, structuring, and monitoring financing solutions for agricultural clients. Reporting to the Head of Credit & Risk Management, the analyst will conduct financial analysis, risk assessments, and market research to support loan approvals and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of agricultural enterprises, including cash flow modeling, profitability assessment, and collateral evaluation.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and risk assessment reports for senior management review.
- Monitor loan performance, identify early warning signs, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with field officers to gather on‑site data, verify information, and ensure compliance with bank policies.
- Stay informed on agricultural market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and policy changes affecting the sector.
- Develop and maintain a database of agricultural clients, credit histories, and portfolio metrics.
- Assist in designing new agricultural financing products that meet the evolving needs of farmers and agribusinesses.
- Provide training and guidance to junior analysts and loan officers on best practices in agricultural credit assessment.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Excellent understanding of agricultural value chains, crop cycles, and farm management practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply banking regulations, credit policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex analyses to non‑technical stakeholders.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or a recognized agricultural finance qualification are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in agricultural finance, commercial banking, or credit analysis. Experience working with smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, or rural development projects is highly valued. Salary
