We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and calibration of all medical equipment across our facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety testing on all biomedical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex medical devices, including imaging systems, patient monitors, and laboratory analyzers.
  • Manage the inventory of medical equipment, spare parts, and specialized tools.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select new medical technologies.
  • Train clinical and nursing staff on the proper and safe operation of medical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international healthcare technology standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems used in medical devices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex equipment failures.
  • Excellent communication skills to train clinical staff and liaise with external vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns.
  • Proficiency in using specialized biomedical testing and calibration tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining technical documentation.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized university.

Experience

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience working as a Biomedical Engineer in a busy hospital setting is required.
