Job Overview

This role involves creating compelling multimedia content that highlights Uganda’s diverse cultural narratives while adhering to global media standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce high-quality video, audio, and written content showcasing Ugandan cultural heritage.
  • Collaborate with local artists, historians, and community leaders to curate authentic narratives.
  • Utilize editing software (Adobe Premiere, Audition, etc.) to finalize content for broadcast and online platforms.
  • Conduct field research to identify underrepresented cultural stories and traditions.
  • Ensure compliance with media ethics and copyright laws in all productions.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in multimedia production tools and digital storytelling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of Ugandan cultural traditions and regional dialects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and at least one local language.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with social media content strategy and analytics.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Cultural Studies or Digital Media preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in media production, preferably in cultural or documentary projects.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end content creation workflows.

Salary

3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
