🚜 Job Overview

The company is seeking a highly experienced Deputy / Assistant Manager – Heavy Equipment Workshop to oversee the repair, maintenance, and operational readiness of heavy machinery used in sugar production and plantation operations.

This role is critical in ensuring maximum equipment uptime, efficient workshop operations, and reliable fleet performance across agricultural and industrial operations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🏗️ 1. Heavy Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and agricultural equipment
• Ensure operational readiness of equipment such as:
  • Wheel loaders
  • Bucket loaders
  • Cane stackers
  • Excavators
  • Graders
  • Soil compactors
  • JCB / backhoe loaders

⚙️ 2. Workshop Management

• Supervise daily workshop operations and technical teams
• Ensure efficient scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance
• Maintain high standards of equipment performance and safety

🔌 3. Generator & Mechanical Systems Maintenance

• Manage maintenance of industrial generators and auxiliary systems
• Ensure uninterrupted power and mechanical support systems

📊 4. Technical Planning & Reporting

• Plan maintenance schedules and equipment servicing programs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Monitor equipment performance and downtime reduction strategies

👷 5. Team Supervision

• Lead and supervise mechanics and workshop technicians
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

💼 Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance
• Experience in industrial or agricultural equipment repair (mandatory)
• Strong background in workshop supervision and fleet maintenance

🚜 Technical Expertise

• Maintenance of construction and agricultural machinery
• Generator servicing and industrial equipment support
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults

• Strong technical and mechanical problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in industrial environments
