Job Overview
The Digital Asset Management Lead will spearhead the design, implementation, and governance of a comprehensive digital asset management (DAM) platform that supports the entire asset lifecycle—from design and procurement to operation and decommissioning. This role reports to the Head of Digital Transformation and collaborates closely with engineering, operations, IT, and compliance teams to ensure seamless integration of digital assets across the organization. The successful candidate will champion best practices, drive data quality, and enable advanced analytics that enhance decision‑making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the DAM system, aligning with corporate objectives and industry standards.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to integrate engineering drawings, 3D models, sensor data, and maintenance records into a unified digital repository.
- Establish data governance policies, metadata standards, and access controls to ensure data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with IT to configure cloud‑based storage solutions that provide scalability, reliability, and high performance.
- Implement AI‑driven tagging and search capabilities to improve asset discoverability and reduce retrieval time.
- Provide training and support to end‑users, fostering a culture of digital adoption across all departments.
- Monitor system performance, generate usage analytics, and continuously optimize the platform based on feedback.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and Baker Hughes’ internal policies.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in digital asset management platforms (e.g., OpenText, Bynder, Canto) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in data modeling, metadata frameworks, and information architecture.
- Experience with API integrations, IoT data streams, and GIS data for asset visualization.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex digital initiatives on time and within budget.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing senior leadership.
- Knowledge of oil and gas operational processes and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in DAM, cloud architecture, or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are considered an asset.
Experience
Applicants should possess 5‑7 years of relevant experience, including at least three years in a leadership role overseeing digital asset management or enterprise content management initiatives within the energy, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
