Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Mining Operations Supervisor to oversee daily mining activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong technical background in mining operations and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate mining operations, including drilling, blasting, and material extraction.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with geologists and engineers to plan and execute mining projects.
  • Prepare operational reports and analyze data to improve productivity and cost efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Technical expertise in mining operations and equipment.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination experience.
  • Proficiency in mining software (e.g., Surpac, Minex) and MS Office Suite.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Mining Management are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in mining operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in copper/cobalt mining is highly desirable.

Salary

5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
