Job Overview

The Petroleum Production Engineer will be responsible for optimizing oil and gas production operations at ExxonMobil’s Kasese field. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production optimization plans to increase oil and gas output.
• Monitor well performance using real‑time data acquisition systems and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to evaluate reservoir models and forecast production trends.
• Design artificial lift systems, including ESP and gas lift, to enhance well productivity.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout production activities.
• Prepare technical reports, production forecasts, and cost‑benefit analyses for senior management.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in troubleshooting production issues and implementing innovative solutions.
• Participate in field development studies and contribute to capital project planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production data, engineering calculations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in production engineering software such as Prosper, GAP, and Petrel.
• In‑depth knowledge of artificial lift technologies, well testing, and surface facility operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to make data‑driven decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.

Education

Experience
