Job Overview

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for planning, managing, and improving procurement and supply chain operations to ensure timely product delivery, supplier efficiency, and cost-effective logistics management. This role plays a critical function in ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, transport providers, internal departments, and customers.

The position requires strong knowledge in procurement planning, inventory management, vendor management, supply chain operations, transport coordination, and ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Business Central.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Strategically plan and manage sourcing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement of raw and packaging materials.
  • Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts to maximize value and reduce operational expenses.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for uninterrupted procurement operations.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement sourcing improvements.

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate end-to-end supply chain activities involving internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Manage transportation systems to ensure timely product delivery and service excellence.
  • Monitor logistics performance, transport costs, and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop procedures to ensure smooth movement of goods across regional markets.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Practices, Inventory Control, or Logistics Operations will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of professional experience in:
    • Procurement
    • Warehousing

    • Transportation Operations
  • Experience working in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), manufacturing, telecommunications, logistics, or corporate operations environment is highly preferred.
