Job Overview:Maersk Uganda is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Mbarara. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our supply chain operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing. The role will involve working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions to meet their requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our supply chain, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to meet the needs of our clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders
- Manage a team of supply chain professionals to ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, including delivery times, costs, and customer satisfaction
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions to complex supply chain challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of supply chain professionals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
