We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Materials Engineer to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the company’s overall growth and success.

Job Overview

The Sustainable Materials Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for sustainable materials development and implementation.

The job will involve conducting research and development of new sustainable materials, testing and evaluating their performance, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure that the materials meet the company’s quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
• Conduct research and development of new sustainable materials, testing and evaluating their performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for sustainable materials development and implementation.
• Ensure that the materials meet the company’s quality and sustainability standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the company’s sustainable materials solutions meet their needs.

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainable materials development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of materials science and engineering principles, including materials properties, processing, and characterization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design, develop, and implement sustainable materials solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.

Experience

8-12 years of experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainable materials development and implementation.

Salary

2500000 – 4000000 SSP per annum.
