Job Overview

This role focuses on coordinating urban infrastructure projects in Mbale, ensuring alignment with national development goals and international sustainability standards. The position requires strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and technical expertise to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of urban infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities.
  • Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and community leaders to ensure project compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality and safety protocols.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in urban infrastructure project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and materials.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
  • li>Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex logistical challenges.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in infrastructure development, preferably in East Africa.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale projects.

Salary

5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
