Job Overview

Enel Green Power Uganda Limited is seeking a Renewable Energy Systems Developer to design, implement, and optimize renewable energy solutions in Pader, Uganda. This role will focus on integrating solar and wind technologies into existing energy grids while ensuring compliance with national and international sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop renewable energy systems, including solar farms and wind turbines, tailored to Uganda’s energy needs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new energy projects in rural and urban areas.
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with national energy policies.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of existing renewable energy infrastructure to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Provide technical support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of energy systems in remote locations.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic systems and wind energy solutions.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HOMER, RETScreen) for system design and optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating energy consumption patterns and proposing sustainable alternatives.
  • Excellent project management capabilities to oversee multi-disciplinary teams and timelines.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Luo preferred) for effective stakeholder communication.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree or professional certifications (e.g., NABCEP, PMP) is a plus.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, preferably in East Africa.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing clean energy solutions in off-grid or hybrid systems.

Salary

2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
