Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Hoima, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry management efforts in the region.

The Digital Forestry Management Specialist will work closely with our forestry team to design and implement digital tools and systems that enhance our ability to monitor and manage forest resources. This will include developing and maintaining digital maps, conducting spatial analysis, and creating data visualizations to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field, as well as experience with digital technologies and data analysis. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry management efforts
  • Design and maintain digital maps and spatial analysis tools
  • Conduct data analysis and create data visualizations to support decision-making
  • Work closely with the forestry team to develop and implement digital tools and systems
  • Provide training and support to forestry staff on digital technologies and data analysis

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field
  • Experience with digital technologies and data analysis
