Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Kasese, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry management efforts. This will involve working closely with our forestry team to design and implement digital tools and systems to monitor and manage forest resources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field, as well as experience in digital technology and data analysis. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry management efforts
  • Design and implement digital tools and systems to monitor and manage forest resources
  • Work closely with the forestry team to ensure effective implementation of digital solutions
  • Conduct data analysis and provide insights to inform forestry management decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other partners

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field
  • Experience in digital technology and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
