Job Overview
This role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional passionate about transforming healthcare through digital innovation. The Digital Health Solutions Specialist will design, implement, and manage technology-driven health programs tailored to rural and underserved communities. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions align with local healthcare needs and global best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy digital health platforms for disease tracking, telemedicine, and patient engagement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify gaps and design user-friendly solutions.
- Analyze health data to optimize program performance and impact.
- Provide technical support for mobile health (mHealth) applications and cloud-based systems.
- Conduct training sessions for healthcare workers on digital tool usage.
- Monitor and report on project outcomes to stakeholders and donors.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in health information systems (e.g., DHIS2, OpenMRS).
- Experience with mobile app development (Flutter, React Native) or API integration.
- Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Ugandan healthcare policies and public health challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in low-resource environments.
- Fluency in English and local languages (Luganda, Runyankole) preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Public Health, or related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s) in Digital Health or Healthcare Management are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in health technology, software development, or public health program implementation. Prior work in rural healthcare settings is highly advantageous.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
