Job Overview

This role involves designing and developing interactive digital learning materials for K-12 and higher education institutions in Uganda. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to create engaging, standards-aligned content that enhances student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop e-learning modules, video tutorials, and interactive quizzes using tools like Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360.
  • Collaborate with Ugandan educators to align content with national curriculum standards.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine digital learning products.
  • Integrate multimedia elements (videos, animations, infographics) to enhance engagement.
  • Ensure content is accessible on low-bandwidth devices and compatible with offline learning platforms.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of Ugandan education frameworks and pedagogical practices.
  • Creativity in designing visually appealing and interactive learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mobile-first and low-bandwidth content optimization.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Educational Technology preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in educational content development, preferably in digital formats.
  • Proven track record in creating curriculum-aligned learning materials.

Salary

3,500,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
