Job Overview
The Digital Twin Simulation Engineer will design, develop and maintain high‑fidelity digital replicas of oilfield assets, enabling real‑time monitoring, predictive analytics and scenario testing. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will translate complex physical processes into virtual models that support decision‑making across drilling, production and maintenance operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate digital twin models for wells, pipelines and processing facilities using industry‑standard software.
- Integrate real‑time sensor data, historical performance records and engineering specifications into simulation environments.
- Collaborate with drilling engineers, reservoir specialists and operations teams to ensure model accuracy and relevance.
- Perform scenario analysis to predict equipment wear, fluid dynamics and production forecasts.
- Generate actionable insights and visualizations for senior management and field operators.
- Maintain documentation, version control and knowledge‑base articles for all digital twin assets.
- Support continuous improvement by evaluating emerging simulation tools and recommending upgrades.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in simulation platforms such as ANSYS, MATLAB, SimScale or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or Java for model development and data integration.
- Experience with IoT data streams, OPC-UA, and cloud‑based analytics platforms.
- Solid understanding of oilfield equipment, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in simulation, data analytics or digital twin technologies is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience developing and deploying simulation models in the oil & gas sector or a closely related industry. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) will strengthen your application.
Salary
The competitive remuneration package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications and performance. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
