We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Mbale, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects, collaborating with local communities, and promoting sustainable land-use practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement conservation projects in collaboration with local communities and stakeholders
  • Conduct field assessments and monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of conservation efforts
  • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners to promote sustainable land-use practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partners
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and stakeholders on conservation practices

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in conservation, environmental management, or related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful conservation projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
