We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Moyo, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and agriculture.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Moyo, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and agriculture.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and agriculture.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate environmental impacts.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and project developers.
- Provide technical assistance and training to project teams on environmental impact assessment and mitigation.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and mitigation.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies in Uganda.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with project teams.
Education
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and mitigation. Experience working in Uganda or a similar context is an added advantage.
Salary
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of 2500000 – 3500000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
