Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Mbarara, Uganda. The successful candidate will work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement sustainable solutions for environmental conservation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, or a related field, and will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the environmental challenges facing Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable solutions for environmental conservation projects
- Work closely with our conservation team to identify and address environmental challenges
- Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement conservation plans
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field
- Strong understanding of environmental challenges facing Uganda
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field. Experience working in Uganda or a similar context is highly desirable.
Salary
The salary for this position is 5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
