Job Overview
Join a pioneering team dedicated to transforming the construction industry through sustainable materials. This role focuses on developing eco-friendly building solutions tailored to Uganda’s infrastructure needs. Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop innovative green building materials (e.g., low-carbon cement, recycled aggregates).
- Conduct feasibility studies for sustainable construction projects in Uganda.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate eco-friendly materials into designs.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements for sustainable construction.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Expertise in sustainable materials and green building standards (LEED, BREEAM).
- Proficiency in materials testing and lifecycle analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Ugandan construction regulations and environmental policies.
Education
- Master’s degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- Professional certifications in sustainable construction (e.g., LEED AP) are advantageous.
Experience
- 3-5 years in construction materials research or sustainable building technologies.
- Experience in project management or R&D in the construction sector.
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
