Job Overview

This role is pivotal in deploying and optimizing Medtronic’s health technology solutions across rural and urban healthcare facilities in Uganda. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between advanced medical devices and clinical workflows, ensuring seamless integration for improved patient care. The position is based in Mbarara, a growing hub for healthcare innovation in Western Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement Medtronic’s diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
  • Conduct on-site training for medical staff on device operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor system performance and provide technical support to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement in healthcare delivery.
  • Partner with local NGOs and government agencies to expand access to life-saving medical technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in healthcare technology deployment or medical device implementation.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) and project management software.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and solve complex technical challenges.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field. Advanced certifications in medical device technology or healthcare IT are advantageous.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in healthcare technology, medical device implementation, or health systems support. Prior work in Sub-Saharan Africa or similar regions is a plus.

Salary

3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based incentives and annual salary reviews.
