We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Systems Engineer to join our technical division in Arua. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Perform onsite commissioning and testing of automated production lines to ensure compliance with international safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and software-based automation faults in real-time manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborate with client engineers to customize automation solutions for specific industrial requirements.
  • Develop technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, logic flowcharts, and operational manuals.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance audits on automated machinery to minimize downtime.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell, or ABB specific platforms).
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and EtherNet/IP.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and P&IDs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities under high-pressure industrial conditions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead technical site installations.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Professional certification in automation technologies is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, specifically within a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting. Proven experience in commissioning large-scale automated systems is essential for success in this role.

Salary

The monthly gross salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,200,000 SSP, depending on technical expertise and previous experience levels.
